I. The Beginning of Birth Pains (1-14)

1. Where was Jesus? What did his disciples do? Why? (cf. Mk. 13:1) How did Jesus answer? (2) To what was he probably referring to? What does the destruction of the temple mean to us?

2. What did the disciples ask Jesus privately? (3) What did they mean by "your coming" and "the end of the age"?

3. How did Jesus answer them? (4) What are the terrible things Jesus mention in verses 5-7? How did he view them? What can we learn here?
