1. What is the promise God gives his people? Who is the shoot from the stump of Jesse; the Branch? (2 Sam. 7:12-16)

2. What is the power source of the Messiah? (2; Ps. 51:11) Why does he delight in the fear of the Lord?

3. How is his righteous judgement described? (3b-4a) What was his only weapon? (4b) What was the essence of his actions? (5)
