I. Daniel Prays (1-19)

1. When was it and this to the time when Daniel was taken into captivity? (1; 1:1,6) After many years of Bible study what did Daniel discover? (2; Jer. 25:11-12, 29:10-14) What did he do? (3) Who was the Lord to Daniel? (4a) What can we learn from Daniel?

2. What was the Lord's covenant with Israel? (4b, Ex. 19:3-8) Considering his and Israel's situation what is amazing about his prayer? (5-7)

3. Why did the Lord scatter Judah and Israel? (7-8) Even though they were the ones who broke the covenant, what did Daniel know about the Lord? (9-10) What do we know about the extent of God's mercy and forgiveness? (Rom. 5:6-8, 8:38-39)

4. What are the curses written by Moses? (11-12; Deut. 11:26-29) Though they received the promised curses what had they not done yet? (13-14) What can we learn about what the Lord requires when we sin? (1 John 1:8-9; 2:1-2)

II. As Soon As You Began to Pray (20-24)

III. Seventy "Sevens" (25-27)
