I. The Silent and Then Angry Young Man (32:1-33:7)

1. What did Job's friends do? (32:1) Why? What does this mean? Who speaks up? (32:2a, Gen. 22:20-21, Jer. 25:20-23, Ruth 4:18-22) Why might he not have been mentioned earlier? What are the two things he is angry about? (2b-3, 5)

2. Why had he waited to speak? (32:4-7) What does the Bible have to say about respect? (Rom. 13:7; Eph 6:5; and 1 Thessalonians 5:12; and 1 Timothy 3:4, 5:1-2; and 1 Peter 2:17-18, 3:15) Should respect be demanded or earned?
