I. Boaz Confronts the Unnamed Kinsman (4:1-8)

1. Why did Boaz sit at the town gate? (1) What is significant about gathering ten of the elders together? (2)

2. Did Boaz have the right to announce the selling of Naomi's land? (3) What decision did the unnamed relative have to make? (4) What responsibility went along with acquiring the land? (5)

3. What was the unnamed relatives' decision based on? (6-8) What was Baoz's decision based on? How is a life of faith and obedience in Jesus similar to Boaz's decision and actions? How is doing the right thing often the hardest thing to do? (Think of Jesus' life and death.)
