I. A Warning to the Israelites (3:16-27)

* Ezekiel 3:16-5:17 is one revelation and instruction to Ezekiel before the third siege and final fall of Jerusalem in 586 BC.
The Lord calls Ezekiel "son of man". Jeremiah & Daniel use this term too. Jesus referred to himself as the Son of Man.
The Lord's instructions about Ezekiel's mission is also to me in my mission of spreading the good new concerning Jesus and salvation thru him. Jesus commanded me, "Go," just like he did to Ezekiel.
The Lord told Ezekiel, a young lad, that others were his responsibility. The Lord told him to warn others for their own good. The Lord was holding Ezekiel accountable for others.
Jesus told several parables about how he is going to one day hold me accountable for the talents he has given me. I am to use what the Lord gives me and increase it. Paul also wrote that when my days on earth are done, I will stand before the Bema seat of Christ and either be given rewards or lose rewards according to what I do now.
